News in Brief: Good Pub Grub
Morans of the Weir, Kilcolgan, won a special award in the Bord Failte National Bar Food Competition, 1976, while Paddy Burkes, Clarenbridge, won a Certificate of Merit.
Throughout the country 316 premises competed for the top awards and the competition is seen to boost the status and standard of licensed premises which provide food. The demand for good bar food in hygienic surroundings is growing rapidly.....
